Welcome to my portfolio! This website not only showcases my past projects and experiences, but also serves as an introduction to myself. If I had to sum up my primary interest during my studies as a computer science major, it would be design and management. I am particularly motivated to learn more about user interface development, project management, frontend programming, and game development.
Throughout my academic journey, I participated in multiple projects related to user interface design. Many of these projects were game development endeavors where I gained experience with programming, 3D modeling, and other essential skills for managing and developing game prototypes. My earliest projects were intimidating, so I sought assistance from close acquaintances who shared my passion for computer science. I advocated for a communicative and collaborative team environment where designers and developers could express their ideas freely. Since many of us were new to these skills, I practiced juggling multiple tasks while keeping my team up to date. One of my key responsibilities was wireframing the UI and heads-up display in Figma and scripting them into Unity for functionality. I also designed 2D sprites which served as collectible in-game objects within a 3D environment.
Aside from game development, I gained extensive work for managing a small frontend team in the creation of a web application, working closely with a separate back-end team. My focus as a manager included tracking current and future development plans and communicating progress with the other team. Learning about Microsoft Azure, JavaScript, Figma, and other web development tools throughout our project's life cycle helped make implementation more productive and flexible. The finished web application allowed users to fetch songs from Spotify's API based on their preferences and create new playlists on their accounts.
Design and management fuels my desire to create refined software products because I believe there is much more to explore in software development. I am eager to improve my background in future computer science projects and see what collaborating with a team of professional teammates could be.
